From left to right:

mpeg / avi seek - used to select the first frame of a video file.
Source AR and Resolution - can automatically adjust AR (Aspect Ratio) of the source if set to the type of image, even if the image has been cropped from another. Fine adjustment is available with the "S" (slimmer) and "W" (wider) buttons. The "N" button restores the AR to default.
Cropping - the top button moves the matte outward vertically, the bottom button moves the matte in vertically. The left button moves the matte in horizontally, the right button moves the matte out horizontally. The center button removes the matte.
Zoom - controls the size of the resize source rectangle, + is zoom-in, - is zoom-out.
Position - this controls the location of the resize source rectangle, moving the rectangle causes panning provided the image has been zoomed in. The center button centers the rectangle.
Readouts - these display the 9 values used for resizing. Mostly used for debugging, but also useful for duplicating a resize on another image.
Size - controls the size of the resize destination rectangle, and, therefore, the size of the image within the composite. There are two buttons for filling the screen, "matte" sets the size such that none of the image is lost. This is the default when adding an image. "Crop" sets the image size to fill the screen, cropping in one dimension.
Position - this controls placement of the image into the composite.
View - used to view the composite as it will appear in normal, pan/scan, or letterboxed display mode, GDI resized from the actual "encoder" image. Use the "encoder" setting to determing if aliasing is caused by the GDI resizing or will appear in the finished composite.

Mouse actions:
Panning - hold ctrl key down, drag image. (must be zoomed in first)
cropping - hold ctrl key down, position mouse to one edge or corner (arrow cursor will appear), drag.
moving - position mouse to inside image frame (

cursor appears), drag image to new location.
bending - position mouse to one edge or corner (arrow cursor will appear), drag. Bending beyond opposite edge causes flipping.
