Transfer Function Settings

The Settings tab has a large section for setting default transfer functions for various types of files. Each type can be set individually, or set to "system" which follows the "system" setting at the top. This allows for quickly changing a number of defaults all at the same time.
Please note that lossy formats are not yet implimented.
The transfer function of the display can also be set from this tab, and is stored in the MuxMan configuration file.
The initial values are the most commonly used. These settings, except for display transfer function, are stored in the project file.

When importing mpeg-2 files if the file contains a Sequence_Display_Extension with color description the transfer function will be set. The chart on the next page summarizes the possible values.
